Due to a change in IP addresses that was forced on us by our upstream provider early this morning ns2.avantihosting.net. has been pointing to the wrong IP address. We have amended all records but due to the nature of how DNS works it may still be a few hours before the correct records become visible again to all users. We are terribly sorry about this incident and will have a serious talk with our upstream provider to ensure this does not happen again. UPDATE 3 March 2008, 17:20 We have been in communication with or upstream provider all day trying to find a way to shorten the duration of this issue. Unfortunately our upstream provider has been less than helpful and is refusing to do anything to help us out. At this point it is expected that this issue will be resolved by about 6am, 4 March 2008. Again we are terribly sorry about this incident and we will review our use of this particular upstream provider. UPDATE 3 March 2008, 23:40 If you have registered your own domain name, please remove ns2.avantihosting.net from the nameservers for your domain name. Doing so will ensure that you will be the least impacted by this issue. For all accounts where Avanti Hosting has registered the domain name on behalf of our customers, we have already made this change. UPDATE 4 March 2008, 21:25 All sites should be working normaly again by now. Another much shorter outage is anticipted later during this week or early next week to switch over to the use of a new upstream provider.
